5 - October 30-31, 2016

We arrived in Bermuda at noon on the 30th and docked on Front Street in downtown Hamilton. Being Sunday, few shops were open. Weather was perfect the two days we were here. From the recent hurricane no property damage was noted, but our excursion guide on Monday said a lot of damage was done to boats and salt water spray damage to foliage. We did enjoy fish and chips at the Pickled Onion on Front Street, steps away from where we docked.

Arrival sunrise on the 30th. (Suzy missed it)

4 - October 29, 2016

After a calm, peaceful day at sea, we celebrated our 50th; Sirena, our ship, is beautiful and our suite is lush and comfortable. We couldn't ask for a nicer start to our cruise.

PS We're still learning this blog stuff, so be patient, helps one get to 50.

3 - October 28, 2016

Boarded Sirena in midtown Manhattan and walked to Intrepid for a tour. Can't imagine life aboard this aircraft carrier in the heat and humidity of the South Pacific. Cool and very windy in NYC. We departed at 5:15 p.m. and enjoyed a beautiful sail down the Hudson. We'll enjoy a day at sea before docking in Bermuda on Sunday the 30th.

1 - October 22, 1966

50th Anniversary Celebration

The journey begins at Denison, our first date, attending services for JFK. Suzy graduates from U. of Chicago with her Masters, while Cap graduates October 22, 1966 from Undergraduate Pilot Training, Webb AFB, Big Spring, Texas. (It was cold!)

Dad pins on Cap's wings.

2 - October 29, 1966

Cap couldn't leave Webb AFB for a few days so Dad drove 'his' black 1965 Plymouth to Toledo, then on to Arlington, VA.
