7 - November 3, 2016

Today started and ended in Gustavia, St. Barthélemy, French West Indies. We've visited here previously and found it to be very, very expensive. One thing I missed this visit was some trophy yacht(s) anchored in the harbour. Suzy stayed onboard and I made a brief visit. Appears many buried water/sewer lines are being replaced. Weather was warm and humid with scattered showers in the P.M.

So to back up maybe eight years, we sailed in one of Oceania's Penthouse Suites and met Bosco. It was during that cruise that I taught him how to tie a bow tie. Interestingly, last year aboard Riviera we again had an opportunity to catch up with Bosco. His wife and 15-month old daughter live in Mumbai, India. And below he is once again our butler holding the Keystone Science School (KSS) Hot Pink Gorilla (HPG).

Hope Springs Eternal. As with Rockies, 'Maybe next year.'

Gustav III airport: I understand flying in here, usually in a small STOL aircraft like this, can be quite the exciting flight. Final approach is over a ridge. Takeoffs, same direction, are a quick turn over the ocean. No B 737s please. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustaf_III_Airport
